What to do in Lima - for free!

Sala Luis Miro Quesada Garland
Monday - Friday 11:00am – 8:00pm
This museum is located just down the street from Pariwana Hostel. The gallery’s exhibit changes every few months showcasing different Peruvian artists. There is usually some form of political undertone, but always enjoyable.

Salsa Sunday in Parque Kennedy
Stop by the Anfiteatro Chabuca Granda Sunday afternoons to dance salsa! We aren’t sure who puts on the event, but the park is always full of vibrant older Peruvians, who love to dance! Jump in the mix or watch from above, either way it’s a fun time.

Wednesday Night MAC movies
The last two Wednesdays nights each September-March starting at 7:30pm come enjoy a locally produced movie. The centre provides free lawn chairs and ground cushions to watch the movie. There’s popcorn sold on site, but feel free to bring your own snacks! You can take the 301 bus from outside Pariwana Hostel or walk along the Malecón Cisneros.

Malecón Cisneros Walk
This boardwalk is beautifully maintained and offers amazing views of Lima. Only a 10 minute walk from Pariwana you can reach the cliffs above the ocean. Bring some drinks and enjoy the sunset! Make sure to check Parque Amor, to see the famous kissing giants.

Monday Night Salsa Pariwana Hostel
After testing out your moves on the weekend, improve them for free on the rooftop terrace at Pariwana. The class is free and starts at 9:30pm. Get ready to sweat!!!! You’ll be ready for a nice cold beer or refreshing cocktail after class, good thing the bar is only a few dance moves away.
